Why I'm Kissing Goodbye to MS

As you all know I've had long hair pretty much all of my adult life, but after years of watching my hairline slowly disappear, I've decided it's finally time to let it go!

Rather than simply getting a haircut, I wanted to turn it into something positive and raise money for a cause that is very close to home. My dad has Multiple Sclerosis (MS), so I've seen firsthand how this disease can affect not only the person living with it, but also the people around them.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease that affects the central nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. While there have been huge advances in the understanding of MS, there is still so much more to be done and currently there's no known cure.

That's why I'm shaving my head and raising money through Kiss Goodbye to MS. On the day I'm also asking my friend Hayley to do the first pass with the clippers. 

5 years ago Hayley shaved her own head to raise money for men's mental health after losing her stepfather, so it feels particularly special to have her be part of this moment too.
